ABOUT JENNA

Jenna was born on a third-generation cattle ranch to Greg & Sherry Smeenk in Western South Dakota. Raised alongside her older sister Trisha and younger brother Jed, she embraced rodeo from a young age, excelling in barrel racing, pole bending, goat tying, and queen contests. Jenna's rodeo journey includes winning the SD State Barrel Racing Title, competing twice at the National High School Finals Rodeo, earning a spot on the Wrangler All-Star Team and 20X Extreme Team. She was Junior Miss Rodeo South Dakota and went on to ride as a western rider on South Dakota State University’s Equestrian Team, before moving to Florida where she held the title of Miss Rodeo Florida. She later went back to barrel racing, turning pro in 2014 on a horse she trained. A proud ten-year member of the Wrangler National Finals Flag Team as well, Jenna cherishes every part of her rodeo and equestrian journey.

The Smeenk family continues a tradition of service to the country. Jenna, along with her siblings, have all proudly served or still serve in the Air National Guard. Getting out after 9 years as a Tech Sergeant, Jenna still works in Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance (ISR) as an Airborne Sensor Operator, flying aboard a BE-350 King Air. Deploying to support military operations all around the world, she has been to 33 countries, including tours to both Iraq and Afghanistan.

Jenna holds an Associate’s Degree in Communications Applications Technology and a Bachelor’s in Advertising and Political Science. She also holds her Real Estate's License in the state of Oklahoma. In her free time, she explores her passion for photography, scuba diving, cooking, flying, snowboarding/skiing and just about anything elseoutdoors.

She currently resides in Purcell, Oklahoma with her fiancé, 6 horses, and dog, Noodle - on what they call Rockstar Ranch - and are continuing to build the herd and chase dreams, both inside & outside of the arena.
